Online Admissions
Schools can customize an online
application so that
students and guardians submit their information and required
documentation online.
Admission reps are notified of submitted applications, which go through an embedded admission process inside Genius until they are accepted. The student is then automatically created in the system and notified about the acceptance.
Dynamic Email Templates and Reports
Teachers
and other staff members often need to use email templates
when communicating with students, so Genius SIS lets users dynamically
create, edit and use templates in an intuitive, user-friendly
interface. Genius SIS fully supports HTML templates.
Users can also create their own customized reports using a powerful report builder so that data that needs to be constantly reported on are available with a few clicks.
Easy access to data and self-service functionalities
By
using elegant filters and dashboards, Genius SIS makes it easy and fast
for
authorized users to access the data they need.
Students and guardians have their own portal, designed to offer a host of self-service options. The student portal lets them track their progress, request enrollments, print unofficial copies of their transcript, make payments and much more. The portal can also be used in conjunction with a single sign-on mechanism to grant students access to the course content.
Security and Access
The
system administrator can easily configure Genius SIS so that only
certain users have access to specific pages. For instance, the
administrator can specify that only the Finance Director has access to
the student financial information, or that only admission reps can view
applications.
Access and changes to the database are tracked and logged, and Genius SIS uses SSL encryption to ensure data is kept safe.
Application Integration
Genius
SIS offers a comprehensive API that lets external applications
interface with the database. Administrators can also "bulk upload" csv files to
create courses, students and sections. Additionally, Genius SIS can be
integrated
with several Learning Management Systems, so
that double-entry is eliminated and both systems have access to the
same synchronized data.
Genius SIS can also be integrated to external payment systems such as PayPal and Google Checkout.
